We understand that the winter storm is creating some power outages and complicating some of our students’ efforts to participate in the e-learning program today. As a reminder, students have until Thursday, Jan. 18 to complete their assignments from today. Please stay safe until they’re able to do the work.
D75 parents and guardians,
With a strong winter storm approaching, District 75 will hold an e-learning day on Friday, Jan. 12. Our school buildings will be closed.
To confirm attendance for Lincoln and Washington, the parents will fill out a google form that will come out at 8 a.m. through their email and SeeSaw account. Parents will need to respond by 1 p.m. for attendance in one of those links.
To confirm attendance for MG and CSMS, students will respond to their homeroom teacher through either their Google Classroom (grades 4-8) or SeeSaw (grade 3) by 1 p.m.
Depending on your student’s school, here is what e-learning will look like:
Lincoln: Students have received a choice board packet of instructional activities that will be used at home on Friday.
Grades K-3: Students will use the devices and chargers in their backpacks. All materials, including the devices and chargers, must be returned to school on Tuesday for classroom use. Assignments and activities will be pushed out on SeeSaw. This will be included in Washington students’ eLearning bags along with their devices and charges.
Grades 4-8: Students must charge their chromebooks in the evening as normal for use at home or at school on Friday. Assignments and activities will be pushed out through Google Classroom. Teachers will upload subject area assignments into their Google Classroom by 9 a.m. Students must login to their homeroom Google Classroom to complete the attendance document in each subject area classroom to engage in the e-learning assignments.
All teachers prek-8 will be available by email between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the e-learning day for student support.
Best regards,
Kevin Myers, Superintendent
Districts 75 and 120
